Cuando fui a América, y fue una muy buena experiencia para mí, personalmente, estuvimos en los Estados durante 2 meses y aquello abrió mis ojos. Descubrí que los americanos no saben ni siquiera dónde está Iraq en el mapa. No saben nada sobre Iraq. Pensaban que hay, porque los medios de comunicación se lo cuentan, un gran conflicto entre Suníes y Chiitas, yo dije que no había ningún conflicto porque Suníes y Chiitas son musulmanes y hay matrimonios mixtos. Yo soy chiita y mi marido es suní, mis hijos son mestizos. ¿Así que cuál es la solución en Iraq? ¿Porqué mi marido tiene que ser ahora mi enemigo?
Descubrí que hay una gran brecha entre la gente de América, la gente normal, ellos no saben cuál es la realidad, no saben qué es lo que está pasando en Iraq. Y la media es parcial, ellos cuentan, Bush y su Administración le cuentan a los americanos: “Somos héroes. Estamos haciendo todo bien en Iraq. Somos…” ¿Qué es lo positivo? ¿Las elecciones son lo positivo? y “hemos liberado a la mujer Iraqí” ¿Te lo puedes imaginar? Les han dicho que han llevado a las mujeres Iraquíes a las escuelas y nosotros dijimos… yo soy ingeniera, mi colega era farmacéutica, otra era periodista, otra era abogada.
Mi hijo estaba en la universidad el último año y fue raptado por los hombres de seguridad de la universidad. ¿Te puedes imaginar que tu hijo está caminando por la universidad y los de seguridad vienen y le raptan? ¿Por qué? ¿Por que tiene barba? ¿Por que es sospechoso de ser terrorista? Le llevaron al Ministerio del Interior y le inquirieron “tienes que decirlo todo sobre tu célula, sobre tu grupo“, él dijo “Soy inocente. Sólo soy un estudiante“. Después del paso de los días descubrieron que era inocente y dijeron, en serio, “Vale. Dí a tus padres que recen. No vamos a liberarte, incluso si eres inocente“.
Este corrupto Ministerio del Interior, y sigue pasando dentro del Ministerio, y hay, lo sabes, violaciones de los derechos humanos, y es el mismo edificio, son los líderes de las fuerzas de ocupación. Están sentados arriba. Sabían sobre todo lo malo de Iraq. Significa que usaron las manos malas o sucias de Iraq para matar Iraquíes.
Lo bueno es que de una forma u otra parece que podemos enterarnos de lo que realmente está ocurriendo en el mundo, lo malo es que sigue habiendo gente tan imbécil como para dar la vida por su país… y me estoy refiriendo abiertamente a los soldados de cada ejército, por lo menos a los que se creen las chorradas que dicen los políticos, y muy especialmente a los que deciden que vale la pena ir a arriesgar la vida a un sitio en el que nunca han estado, lejos de sus familias y para luchar por los intereses de otros, que encima son los que hacen girar el mundo para seguir siendo ricos manteniendo a los demás pobres.
